»Fraunhofer System Research for Electromobility« Web Presence Went Online

September 3, 2013

»Fraunhofer System Research for Elektromobility –  FSEM II«, is a cooperative project supported by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in which 16 institutes have been working together on topics in the field of electromobility since 2013.

One of the aims is to develop innovative technologies for hybrid and electric vehicles within the three separate clusters »Drivetrain / Chassis«, »Battery / Range Extender« and »Body / Infrastructure«. Another aim is to expand the existing expertise in the field of electromobility while continuing the system research approach. At the same time, the technologies and components developed are to be transferred to practical application with the help of partners from industry.

The Fraunhofer IVI's key research research topic is the development of a compact range extender.
