The tryING study taster course at TU Dresden offers female high school graduates the opportunity to get a taste of university life, make initial contacts, and learn more about the diverse everyday work experience of engineers. In addition to a preliminary mathematics course, the program includes workshops, excursions, and meetings with female students. The aim is to provide participants with guidance for their studies and career choices in the STEM field.

As part of this program, the participants visited our institute to learn about current research projects in the field of mobility. After introductory lectures and discussions, the guests gained exciting insights into innovative charging systems and got to know our electric dolly. This gave them a practical understanding of how engineers are working on solutions for the mobility of the future.

By participating in the study taster course, we aim to promote enthusiasm for STEM subjects among young women and show them the prospects that a degree in engineering opens up. The tryING program is scheduled to allow for enough time to enroll in an engineering degree program at TU Dresden for the 2025/26 winter semester.

We would like to thank all participants for their interest and wish them the best of success in their future education.
