In addition to the determination of fundamental cell characteristics, The Fraunhofer IVI offers specifically developed methods for the parameter determination of cell models, as well as algorithms for a precise cell state estimation throughout the battery’s entire life cycle.

In the process, established modeling approaches are combined with newly developed methods for robust, time-efficient parameter determination. Through the joint optimization of all temperature and SOC points, potential correlations are taken into account and compensated in an optimal fashion. We will make sure to always use a model structure and parameter space that fits the respective model application – regardless of whether it will be used for the purpose of simulation, for operation on real-time-capable, computing time-sensitive control devices or for the offline investigation of general cell characteristics.
